Sunny Ukraine - a new exhibition of the third grade pupils of the Mykolaiv Children's Art School opened in the Center for Modern Reading "MARKO" of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.

Fourteen works in the colors of the country's flag depict a sunflower, a symbol of the sun, strength and well-being, work and prosperity, and individual streets, sights of the city on the wave.

"There is a war and it is very important that our pupils understand in which country they study and in which country they live. In which country they become artists. And when we have pupils exhibitions, we see that these national notes very often prevail in their compositions. This is the national theme. This exhibition is made in the colors of the national flag - yellow and blue. This topic is relevant for us now. And we are preparing for the exhibition, which will be organized for the City Day in autumn. It will have the name "Yellow and Blue". This is part of the upcoming exhibition," says the director of the Mykolaiv Children's Art School Yevhenia Kruchynina.

The teacher Inna Hodulian, under whose guidance the young people of Mykolaiv realize themselves in art, is very talented. She is the "Star of Culture 2023". Pupils love and respect her very much. The creative combination, the tandem of the teacher and the children, has a positive effect on their creative growth.

"It's burlap. And an acrylic drawing in yellow-blue tones is made on it. Sunflower is the flower of peace. And my children and I did such works at that time. That they always have joy in their hearts. With Ukraine in my heart," says the teacher of the Mykolaiv Children's Art School.

One of the drawings, made by Evhenia Kruchynina and Olena Markitan, on one of the walls of the building located in the historical center of Mykolaiv, was created based on a sketch made by twelve-year-old Eva Kozarevich. The original of this work is presented today in the exhibition "Sunny Ukraine".

"This work is called "Mykolaiv Angel". Eva Kozarevich, who is now 12 years old, made such a sketch with felt-tip pens. And teacher Olena Markitan and I painted a small piece on the wall based on her sketch where was a memorial plaque," emphasized Yevhenia Kruchynina.

And Inna Hodulian's pupil Vitalina Manko depicted in her work one of the famous symbols of the Hero City - the building of the first tram substation.

"An angel, because it symbolizes peace. And this building is the only one of its kind in Mykolaiv. This is how I show that our city is unique," the girl says.

"Sunny Ukraine" will be exhibited in the Center for Modern Reading "Marko" until mid-May.
