This is a great opportunity to hear interesting and famous modern Ukrainian poets and immerse yourself in the world of high-quality lyrics and personal stories.

Yaryna Chornoguz, Iryna Tsylyk and Yurii Izdryk visited Mykolaiv this year.

Poetry readings were attended by librarians of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi and its library branches.
Yurii Izdryk signed books especially for our library.

Yaryna Chornoguz presented the collection "[dasein: defense of presence]", which poems are dedicated to important and tragic moments in the history of the south and east of Ukraine, in particular, to the memory of such cities as Skadovsk, Severodonetsk and Mariupol. It was for this collection that the author received the Shevchenko Prize for Literature (2024). During the speech, Yaryna Chornoguz also read new texts that reflect the realities of war and defense of Ukraine today.

Iryna Tsylyk presented excerpts from her upcoming collection "Thin Ice". These are poems written over the past eight years, in which the author explores the realities of war and life's challenges, comparing them to the fragility of ice. She addresses the topic of personal and social trauma, raising the issue of preserving humanity in the conditions of war.

Yuriy Izdryk, a cult poet, read texts beloved by thousands of Ukrainian men and women, including poems from his latest collection "Collection", published in 2023 by Meridian Czernowitz.

Yuriy Izdryk's work is distinguished by its depth and philosophy, which touches the most secret corners of the human soul.
