The whole European community marks these days with a symbol on the chest - the Poppy of Remembrance. It is also our national sign of memory of those who defended and are defending the Ukrainian land today, who gave their lives for our future.

Unfortunately, even today, 79 years after the end of that war, the grandchildren of gray-haired veterans, inheriting the exploits of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, are forced to defend the territorial integrity and independence of our state with weapons in their hands. They do it selflessly, with love for their country!

Today we pay our respects to those who died on the fronts and soldiers-liberators of the Second World War, remembering the thousands of victims and true patriots - servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer formations of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

For the third year in a row, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation in the conditions of full-scale war started by Russia.

On February 24, 2022, Russian invaders launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The enemy is shelling and destroying infrastructure facilities, carrying out massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
