You always want to know its secret and magic, it is a symbol of the infinity of life, a symbol of the Great Water, the beauty of the south of Ukraine, the blue-eyed "Tavrijka". Tavria painting is an art about family values.
So, as part of the Easter Art Marathon in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi regular readers and visitors of library master classes, became participants of an extraordinary event - painting Easter eggs or Pysanky in the style of the ethnic heritage of the Mykolaiv region.
"But we took the colors specific to our southern region. These are dark-blue and light-blue colors, a symbol of pure, endless sky and water. They also took necessarily white color. These are our seagulls. These are our snow-white sailboats. And they added a warm yellow color. This is our steppe and our sun," says Valentyna Kryvtsova, head of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spocusa" .
For the first time, the Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine Tetiana Uliankina shared her own artistic development of the production of Tavria Easter eggs in the framework of the library master class. Eggs are painted using a batik-watercolor method.
"That is, here the paints are applied with a brush. It's not like we traditionally dip an egg into jars of liquid paint. And you have to be a bit of an artist to paint with a brush. The girls make do it. Now I think it will turn out great," Tetiana Uliankina shared.
Today, "Tavrijka" is popular not only in the region of the northern Black Sea region, but also far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Authentic southern painting is already found on souvenir products, embroidery and drawings. It became known in Europe, and the confident movement of the "Tavrijka" around the world goes on.
