The publication was prepared as part of the regional development project "Museum of Ukrainian Book", implemented by the Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M. Hrushevskyi and the Department of Culture, Nationalities, Religions and Cultural Heritage Protection of Odesa Regional State Administration.

The publication "The Treasures of the Swedish Archives" provides a brief overview of the various sections of the Swedish archives, which store documents related to Ukrainian history.

For the first time, a number of sources relating to the history of Ukraine of the 16th-18th centuries are introduced into scientific circulation. A special place among the documents belongs to the history of Swedish-Ukrainian relations during the period of the hetmanship of Ivan Mazepa and Pylyp Orlyk. The publication contains reprints of little-known documents and analysis of cartographic sources. The book is designed to interest historians, local historians, teachers and students.
