The project brought together partner organizations from four countries of the Black Sea region — Turkey, Georgia, Greece, and Ukraine. Ukraine is represented in the project by the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Ukrainian Association of Business Support Centers," which works with the pilot Mykolaiv community — the only participating city in the project from Ukraine.

The main result of the project for Mykolaiv was the development of a local Climate Change Adaptation Plan.

During the conference, the participants discussed:

* Climate Change Adaptation Plan and its main tasks;

* current state and potential for adaptive development of Mykolaiv and the Mykolaiv region;

* specific local actions aimed at strengthening the climate resilience of the community.

 

Representatives of the public, education, science, culture, business, organizations, and institutions of the city joined the discussion. It is important to note that climate change adaptation extends beyond the environment. It is also about the resilience of urban infrastructure, safety, human health, community development, and Mykolaiv's readiness for future challenges.

 

We would like to thank the NGO "Ukrainian Association of Business Support Centers" for organizing the conference and all participants for a meaningful dialogue.

For the Marko Kropyvnytskyi Central City Library, it was important to become a partner of this event and provide a space for an open professional discussion about the future of our community.
