This is an author's collection of short prose published by the Iryna Hudym Publishing House. 25 true stories of fictional people — this is precisely how this special book can be described.
Its characters are ordinary people you might meet on the street, on public transport, or at the market. Yet behind each of them lies their own story, losses and memories, dreams, feelings, and, most importantly, love.
During the meeting, attendees discussed the background of the book's creation, its characters, and the unique world where real life merges with artistic fiction. The author shared stories behind writing the short stories, most of which were created during these difficult times torn apart by war.
The book combines realism and life wisdom, childhood memories and the present day, along with a few drops of mysticism. The artistic design by illustrator Oksana Mankova adds a special mood to the publication.
It was a warm conversation about people, memory, emotions, and stories that can sometimes remind us of someone familiar. Or perhaps — even of ourselves.
We extend our gratitude to Hanna Polovenko for a heartfelt meeting and the opportunity to discover her "necklace" of stories!
