Club members immersed themselves in the magic of words that accompany us throughout our lives – the mysteries of Ukrainian names.

The session moderator, Pani Liliia, proposed a wide range of topics for discussion, including the culture of naming, the origin and development of proper names, ancient Ukrainian names, and the use of the vocative case. Participants delved into exploring the genetic code of our language through the evolution of forms of address, which give speech a special "noble" sound. They compared authentic formulas of the past with modern habits, compiled their own dictionary of forms of address, and examined the nuances of using the vocative case (as it is exactly what makes our language vivid and unique!). It turned out that the Ukrainian tradition of addressing others is built on incredible respect and tenderness.

The session was held in a dynamic format of "live learning," exchanging stories of family names with moments of sincere discovery and pride in ancestors, formulating personal expressions, and defending opinions with respect for others, which is the foundation of our linguistic community.

We thank all participants for their energy, interesting thoughts, and desire for self-development!

Let’s cherish our native word together!
