On the morning of March 21, a memorial sign to the famous book publisher, public figure, philanthropist, founder and chairman of the organizing committee of the citywide program "Citizen of the Year" - "Person of the Year" Valeri Anatolievich Karnaukh, was opened in the Literary Square near the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.
It was made and installed with the funds of the city budget and benefactors. The author is the famous Mykolaiv sculptor, Honored Artist of Ukraine Ivan Bulavitskyi.
The opening was attended by the chairman of the organizing committee of the city-wide program "Citizen of the Year" - "Person of the Year", director of the Mykolaiv Zoo Volodymyr Topchii, director of the Mykolaiv National Academic Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy Mykola Berson, writer and teacher Leonid Rzhepetskyi, friends and relatives of Valerii Karnaukh. Among the guests present were workers in the field of culture, Mykolaiv librarians.
Traditionally, the festivities were opened by Inha Khorzhevska, the director of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.
She also presented another project. Marble plaques with QR codes have now appeared near the memorial signs in the Literary Square. Thus, townspeople and visitors to the recreation area will be able to learn more about the person to whom the sign is dedicated. So far, there are three of them, but work is ongoing to increase the number.
