After a light touch of the craftswoman's hand to a petal of a herbized flower or a leaf of a tree with the addition of a creative idea, real paintings came to life on paper. They did not smell paint, but plants created by nature.

A master class on traditional Japanese art, which translates as "pressed flower" - oshibana, was held in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi, at the initiative of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-spokusa". It is already more than 600 years old.

"It should be meditation as the main condition for practicing it. That is, a person's radiation of peace and positive energy. It is the state in which paintings, decorative panels from pressed floristry in the form of dried flowers, in the form of various herbs are created. Sometimes the bark of a tree is used," says Valentyna Kryvtsova, head of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-spokusa".

Landscapes and flower compositions created by talented readers of the library were enchanting. At first glance, it even seemed that it was impossible to achieve such a level of mastery in such a short time of the master class. But thanks to the attentive trainer - craftswoman Tetiana Uliankinia, who was happy to reveal the secrets of oshibana to the women, real floro graphic paintings appeared in the improvised workshop by the end of the creative activity.

"It is not so difficult to do it. But I was once again convinced that our young ladies do such a delicate job perfectly, they cope. Because the blades of grass here are so thin, they are very fragile. And it is necessary to stick all this carefully. But everything is fine. Let's move!", - shared trainer-master Tetiana Uliankina.

Talking with Tetiana Uliankina, there is a desire to learn this art on your own. But you are overcome by doubts: what if it doesn't work out. At the same time, she is firmly convinced: everyone can make oshibana, it opens up a unique opportunity to present Ukraine, to show its beauty and richness of flora.
