On August 21, the famous Mykolaiv poet, writer, journalist, honored artist of Ukraine Dmytro Kremen would have turned 71. In the Literary Square near the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi, where there is an original artistic memorial plaque in his honor, the librarians read the poet's poems, recalled the writer's life path.

Dmytro Kremin is one of the most outstanding figures of our contemporaries. And we all honor his memory. Dmytro Kremen's work is imbued with boundless love for Ukraine, his native language.

The Ukrainian Ovid's years associated with our city of Mykolaiv, as Dmytro Kremen is often called and who was forced to find himself in the Ukrainian steppe, did not turn out to be tragic and did not turn out to be fatal. Because it is here in the Mykolaiv region a true Transcarpathian, a graduate of Uzhgorod University, was able to succeed as a journalist, and as a teacher, translator, songwriter and public figure.

He had many friends all over the world. Nowadays, all these people remember the poet with kind words. We also remember him. They say that poets live as long as their books are read. And Dmytro Kremen's books are read, his poems are recited, songs based on his words are heard on many stages.
