"I live here" - this is the name of the personal exhibition of the artist Viktor Khiznychenko from the village of Novokostiantynivka of the Bratska hromada, which opened in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.

On the artist's pictures is the theme which is close to his heart and soul - everyday worries of rural life and way of life.

Here are ordinary people, rural landscapes in different seasons. It is no coincidence that the overarching theme of the exhibition is the artist's boundless love for his native land, respect for the traditions of his father's circle.

"Yes, a village with its everyday life, its landscapes, its people. This is a very close topic right now. After all, very soon we will celebrate the Independence Day of Ukraine. And today we wanted to show one of the corners of Ukraine. Its beauty, which prevails today despite the war," says Valentyna Kryvtsova, head of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-spokusa".

For almost 40 years of creative activity, the artist created more than 1,000 pictures. Among them are landscapes and still lifes, thematic paintings and portraits. Viktor Khiznychenko is also engaged in carving and coinage, sculpture and bas-reliefs, and is fond of religious subjects. According to his own projects, two churches were painted in the Bratska hromada.

"There is such an inner need to get up and start writing. What is more expensive. What I see. You meet these houses every day. A little dilapidated, crooked fences. It's all beauty. Someone says there are weed. But they also have their own beauty," Viktor Khiznychenko notes.

Viktor Khiznychenko is the initiator and author of the installation of the Worship Cross in the villages of Novokostiantynivka and Ivanivka. He directly participated in the design of the local museum of local history, kindergarten and children's town "Kazka", his plaster bas-reliefs can be seen in various corners of the village.
