On August 9 in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi, the presentation of the book of our compatriot, Ukrainian poet, novelist and playwright Vitalyi Rogozha "Good evening. We are from Ukraine. Invincible Mykolaiv" took place.

This is a kind of diary, a chronicle of the first months of the Russian-Ukrainian war in the city and region.

"My heroes," the author writes, "are the army of the light, the army of goodness." Victory is won largely by their intelligence, their efforts, their sacrifice! And it will definitely belong to our Ukrainian people! Because under such circumstances, which appear as if by chance, under the cover of night, heroes appear in opposition to evil. And not lone heroes, but a large countless army! Warriors come out of cosmic obscurity, they ike the sun are illuminated by daily events, engage in battle with dark forces and become torches of light of their people, their city, and the city becomes a hero..."

The script of the presentation was prepared by the press secretary of the library, Pavlo Moskaliov. Parts of the novel were playing, and video of wartime events in Mykolaiv, Voznesensk, and Bashtanka was shown on the screen. Those present at the event once again experienced the terrible events of March-April 2022, reflecting on the presented topic, recalling their own stories of that time.

Those whose references became part of the novel were also present in the hall. This is the artistic director of the Mykolaiv Academic Art Drama Theater, Honored Artist of Ukraine Artem Svistun, and the head of the literary and dramaturgical part of the drama theater, leading actress Maryna Vasylieva. They gave touching speeches, talked about their participation in writing a book, about their first concert performances in evacuation centers, hospitals, places of deployment of our defenders, which took place during the terrible bombings of the city. There were warm words of thanks to the author for taking the initiative to join the writing of the novel.

The visitors of the library, guests and organizers of the event united in one strong family during the hour-long presentation, once again feeling the extraordinary unity of the indomitable people of Mykolaiv. Excited, impressed by the sincerity of the author's text and the performances of the book's characters, they did not part for a long time, sharing their impressions and their own memories. They were grateful to the library for the presentation, expressed a desire to read the book. Some of them ordered it in online bookstores leaving the hall of the library.

So, the presentation of the book about the indomitable people of Mykolaiv took place in the invincible Mykolaiv. We thank the author for the proposal, cooperation and the opportunity to present to our users a novel that is unique and so important for all of us.
