On July 16 the final exhibition of the cultural and artistic project "Berehinias of Ukraine" started its work in the Central City Library named after M. L. Kropyvnytskyi .

It was started on the initiative of director Inha Khorzhevska.

"She offered the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spocusa" to support this idea. And we gladly agreed with it. The first exhibitions took place in 2022 during massive bombings, explosions and horrors. But our Berehynias went forward. And they showed what they are giving to the townspeople today during these terrible events," recalls Valentyna Kryvtsova, head of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spocusa".

For two years, residents of Mykolaiv and guests of the regional center had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of thirteen craftswomen. Each of them shared their own philosophy, ideas and themes, protective qualities.

Elyzaveta Kozyreva opened the project "Berehynia of House".

"At that time, I was already a soldier, but few people knew about it. I joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the sixth month, and the project started sometime in September. That's why few people knew about it. For many of them it was a shock. At that moment it was very scary. There were explosions and alarms in the city. We did not understand what to do, where to run, where to hide. And we started this project. I am very satisfied," says Elyzaveta Kozyreva.

In total, the project presented more than 260 original works from traditional and modern forms of art: embroidered paintings, artistic painting, painting and graphics, Ukrainian rushnyky and vyshyvanky, egg painting, vytynanky, folk and author's doll, batik, stained glass painting, weaving, quilling.

"I was "Berehynia of Soul". It was a year, over a year ago. It was a great pleasure to participate in this wonderful project. There were very wonderful craftswomen and artists here including me. And I'm very happy about it," shares Tetiana Uliankina "Berehynia of Soul", master of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spokusa".

"From the very beginning of the war, like every person, I tried to assess the situation, to find a place for myself in this situation. Not just to pass the time and wait for the Victory, but to make contribution to the best of one's ability. Thank God, Valentyna Volodymyrivna got her bearings much faster and did a lot of different projects so that the creative people of our city could put their efforts into it. Because of this, show your own participation, your attitude to this situation. And  "Berehynia of Ukraine" became such kind of the project, says Tetiana Veremienko "Berehynia of Coziness", craftswoman of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spocusa".
