"I have seen many parks in cities, but this is the first time I see a city in the park," - this is how the famous French politician Charles De Gaulle once described the capital of Ukraine. This statement is closely related to the environmental campaign "City in the Park", which has been taking place in the Mykolaiv region since April.

On May 8, on the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War, the team of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi participated in it.

The librarians planted more than 10 maple saplings on the adjacent territory.

"City in the Park" was initiated in April by the Mykolaiv Regional Public Organization "Association of Economists" and the "Economist" magazine, chief editor Oleksii Miroshnychenko.

"It is very easy to create local green and park areas. It is only necessary to plant sprouts of trees that grown and are traditional for the area in the yards, on the adjacent territory in cities, villages or towns. I invite all willing and caring citizens to join this campaign. Replant maples, oaks or other trees. They will be preserved, grow up and beautify our cities and settlements," Oleksii Miroshnychenko notes.

The ecological campaign "City in the Park" goes on. From the beginning, educators from Mykolaiv Oblast, residents of united territorial communities, and Mykolaiv citizens have already become its participants.
