Since ancient times, beliefs in symbolism and metaphors have been an inseparable part of the Ukrainian people. It is interesting, but a fact. Almost all cultural and traditional works of art of the Ukrainian people are directly related to everyday and religious rituals.

Thanks to participation in the charitable and educational campaign "Book Invasion" in cooperation with the National Military History Museum of Ukraine, during the pre-New Year and Christmas days, the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi received 100 copies of printed publications from the group "Information Resistance".

On December 6, the Central City Library hosted a traditional city-wide ecological and educational event under the patronage of the Mykolaiv City Mayor with the support of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council.

There are many unusual, but pleasant and warm holidays in the world. Many of them are not marked on the calendar at all, but people celebrate them with joy. One of them is Mitten Tree Day, which is celebrated all over the world on December 6 and is dedicated to spreading warmth and kindness during the cold winter months.

For three years now, Mykolaiv has been living in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war. But gradually, restoration projects have begun to be implemented in the hero city. Here facilities are being rebuilt, improvements and landscaping are being carried out, and waste disposal issues are being resolved.

On December 4, the children discovered the architectural features of the building and admired the interior of the library. It was especially interesting to get acquainted with the direct work of the team.

Shops and shopping malls, metro stations, train and bus stations, streets of big cities and small towns are gradually being decorated and painted for the winter holidays. In some places you can hear New Year and Christmas melodies.

The magic of glass and live fire is always fascinating. And in combination with lace, colored beads and the addition of evergreen branches, perhaps even coniferous trees, it creates a unique New Year and Christmas composition.
