Electronic Document Delivery (EDD) is a free service that allows library users of the Centralized Library System for Adults of Mykolaiv (both legal entities and individuals) to receive electronic copies of printed publications from library collections via Internet.
Electronic Document Delivery Service is organized in the Unified Archive Department of Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.
You can order:
- Copies of individual articles from journals and collections of up to 10 pages;
- Copies of individual pages, fragments or sections of books of up to 10 pages (orders for making copies of rare and valuable publications are not accepted);
- Copies of documents that are not subject to copyright and those that have passed into the public domain:
- issued by public authorities within their powers: official documents of political, legislative, administrative nature (laws, decrees, resolutions, court decisions, state standards, etc.) and their official translations;
- works of folk art (folklore).
Warning! According to the Law of Ukraine "On Copyright and Related Rights", orders are accepted only for reprographic reproduction and delivery of individual published articles and excerpts from published written works. Copying entire documents is NOT PERFORMED!
The received copies are allowed to be used only for the purpose of education, training and private research. It is not allowed to replicate the received copies, to reproduce them in any form, except for one-time printing of an electronic file, to transfer them to other persons or organizations.
The user is responsible for the unauthorized use of documents’ copies received from the library, in accordance with applicable law.
Procedure for ordering and providing the service:
To receive a copy of the document, send an order form (Order Form for a fragment from a book or Order Form for an article) to the Unified Archive Department to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and be sure to specify the e-mail you want to receive the finished order.
Note: a separate order form is filled in for each document; orders in the form of lists are not accepted.
The order form must contain bibliographic information about the document: the author's name and the title of the document; the name of the source the material is published in; year of publication, issue of the journal, publication pages.
Bibliographic information about documents from collections of CLS for adults of Mykolaiv can be specified by means of Electronic catalog or having used the service "Ask a Question on Facebook".
Note: incorrectly executed order forms, in which there is no or is incomprehensible information required to fulfill the order, are returned to the subscriber for clarification.
After receiving the order and checking the availability of the document in the collection, the library within 3 working days notifies about the possibility of execution the order and the term of its execution, at the same time stipulates the technical conditions of making and sending a copy.
Copies of documents are made in PDF or JPG format. Order execution time - from 3 to 5 working days (the term of execution of orders that require bibliographic completion can be extended up to 10 working days). If at the time of the order the required document is issued to another user, the order execution period can be extended up to 15 days.
Note: The ordered materials are scanned only from printed publications, the format of which does not exceed A4 format.
The information is sent to the customer in a volume not exceeding 20 Mb (the volume of the document is limited by the size of the mailbox).
The library is not responsible for delays and interruptions in the provision of services to the subscriber, which occur for reasons beyond the control of the library.
