On August 2 at 5:00 p.m. the presentation of the documentary film "Bucha: City of the Unbreakable", created by TheBuchacity media project in 2023, will take place in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.
The film tells about the terrible events that took place in Bucha during the Russian occupation in February-March 2022. It consists of separate interviews of eyewitnesses who shared their painful memories of those terrible days. Their stories are living evidence of the inhumane attitude of the occupiers towards the civilian population, as well as convincing evidence of the indomitability of the human spirit, resilience and courage of Bucha residents.
"Bucha: City of the Unbreakable" is not just a painful confession, it is an important historical document that will help future generations to understand what happened in Ukraine.
Oleksandr Ostapa, the founder of TheBuchacity media project, notes: "The occupation of Bucha in February-March 2022 will forever be etched in the memory and hearts of the people who lived and live here. But the memories of this period should not be lost in the passage of time, because it is a reminder to the world of the terrorist regime. This film is about people who, despite the grief they have experienced, inspire not to lower their heads, but to approach common victory together. Our team tried to recreate and show the chronology of events as it was found by Bucha residents."
The film was shot with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
During the meeting, there will be a film screening, a video interview with the author and chief editor of the film Oleksandr Bortsov, as well as a discussion of the film.
We invite everyone who cares to join the viewing.
