The readers servicing department is one of the leading departments of the library. At the readers' service are books (about 200) and periodicals (over 400 titles), which are exhibited at book exhibitions, literature reviews, during carrying out of Information Days, Days of periodicals, Days of knowledge and Freshman's Day, ecological weeks, Day of the city and others. The workers of the department at the readers' request provide them with regular operative information on literature from different fields of knowledge.

Subsections of the servicing department:

Sector of the users and advertising's registration , where it is possible to get a reader ticket, to purchase the publicity products of the library, to obtain information about the operating mode and use rules of the library.

 

 

Subscription for adults serves users at the age from 21. Book exhibitions, which open the most actual themes of different spheres of life are monthly exhibited for them. The newest editions can be got at the "payment subscription". A child's corner is also designed for little visitors.

 

 

Subscription for youth serves users up to 21 years old. On the fund's replenishment the necessities of students are taken into account. The librarians of the subscription department co-operate with social services for young people, with high schools and academies. Different literary meetings, quizzes, various arrangements on actual problems of young people are carried out.

 

 

Reading-room , the fund of which counts more than 100 thousand books from different fields of knowledge, 400 titles of periodicals and is constantly enriched with novelties. At the users' service are rich reference-encyclopedic fund, regional editions. The fund of rare and valuable editions, chess collection, collection of address-calendars since 1869 until 1913 of Mykolaiv regional researcher V.R.Lifanov is our pride.

 

 

Film-lecture Hall consisting of 100 seats, a literary-musical living room are places for carrying out the readers' spare time, clubs' studies on interests, meeting with creative intelligentsia of the city.
